Does Yosemite National Park Allow EV Charging?
Here's what you need to know about EV charging at this RV park in Yosemite Valley, California.
Park Information
Current EV Charging Policy
Yosemite National Park has a LOT of level 2 chargers (Rivian provided, but compatible with all EV models) all over the park. The big ones are: (1) Curry Village (20 chargers), which is a great place to park for the Mirror Lake/Vernal/Nevada falls hike, and walking distance from Lower/Upper Yosemite Pines campgrounds. (2) Wawona Store (24 chargers) which has the Wawona Meadow loop, and you can kill a few hours around the stables and historic bridge. (3) Tuolumne Meadows (only 4 chargers, but its a quiet part of the park) which has hikes anywhere from an hour to all day. Keep in mind that on busy days (especially in the summer, after about 10am) parking is very limited and it doesn't seem like there is any enforcement around preventing ICE vehicles from blocking EV chargers. This is most problematic in curry village where a lot of popular hikes begin. Keep in mind there are also Rivian DC Fast Chargers outside the park in Groveland and Lee Vining.
No charging available at campsites, but Rivian provided level 2 chargers available across Yosemite.
