Does Yarberry Campground Allow EV Charging?
Here's what you need to know about EV charging at this RV park in Lenoir City, Tennessee.
EV Charging Policy
There are currently no EV charging capabilities at our facilities. RV electrical pedestals are designed for non-continuous loads, not the constant electricity flow required to charge EV batteries.
Yarberry Campground takes a wooded peninsula on Fort Loudoun Lake in Lenoir City, Tennessee, with Fort Loudoun Dam itself just downstream. Vista Recreation enforces the system-wide ban here too: no EV charging from the pedestals, with the standard explanation about non-continuous loads in the rulebook. There is DC fast charging right in Lenoir City from ChargePoint. Knoxville is also nearby, about 7 miles away, with EVgo, Tesla Supercharger, ChargePoint, and others stations. Twenty minutes from downtown Knoxville and a few hundred yards from the lake puts this campground in a sweet spot, where the charging gap is barely a gap at all.
