RV Parks Where EV Charging Is Not Allowed

This is the check-before-you-book list: 233 campgrounds that prohibit EV charging on the property. Nobody enjoys reading it, but knowing at booking time beats finding out from a note on your windshield. Each listing shows the park's own stated policy, and every park's detail page includes the nearest DC fast charging so you can still make the stay work.

Why parks ban EV charging

It is almost never hostility toward EVs. Most of these parks are running on electrical infrastructure sized decades ago for air conditioners and coffee makers, and an EV pulling seven kilowatts all night is a real load the wiring was never budgeted for. Others got burned on flat-rate electric: one unmetered pedestal quietly feeding a battery costs the park more than the site fee accounts for. Some policies come with teeth, and you will see fees and even eviction language in the notes below. Take those at face value. The park wrote them down because someone tested them.

A no-charging park can still be a fine stop. Arrive with the range you need, use the DC fast charging listed on the park's detail page for anything more, and treat the posted policy as firm even if a neighbor swears the owner does not mind. If the policy matters enough to change your plans, there are parks that allow charging at your site and parks with dedicated stations in most of the same regions. And policies do change. If a park on this list has started allowing charging, tell us at [email protected] and we will re-verify it.
