Does Cedar Point Campground Allow EV Charging?
Here's what you need to know about EV charging at this RV park in Manchester, Tennessee.
EV Charging Policy
There are currently no EV charging capabilities at our facilities. RV electrical pedestals are designed for non-continuous loads, not the constant electricity flow required to charge EV batteries.
Cedar Point Campground is Barton Springs' sister on Normandy Reservoir, sitting on the southwestern side of the same lake outside Manchester, Tennessee. It runs on the same Go Camp Tennessee rulebook, which means no EV charging at any pedestal: "There are currently no EV charging capabilities at our facilities." The nearest DC fast charging is in Tullahoma, about 8 miles away, with EV Connect and ChargePoint stations. Manchester is also nearby, about 9 miles away, with Electrify America and Tesla Supercharger stations. The Duck River headwaters sit between two of the better-charged small Tennessee towns, so the policy is not the trip-killer it might be elsewhere on the TVA system.
