RV Parks with On-Site EV Charging Stations

The biggest group in our directory: 245 campgrounds with dedicated EV charging somewhere on the property. The usual arrangement is a Level 2 station or two near the office or clubhouse, not a plug at your site. That distinction matters, because most of these parks do not allow charging from the campsite pedestal, and the station may be first come, first served.

What to expect from campground charging stations

Nearly all of these are Level 2 stations with a J1772 connector, the same head you find at hotels and grocery stores. Tesla drivers need the J1772 adapter that ships with the car; everyone else plugs straight in. Speeds run 6 to 9 kW, call it 20 to 30 miles of range per hour, so a full charge is an overnight affair or a long afternoon. Some parks include the electricity in your stay, some bill through networks like ChargePoint, and a few run Tesla destination chargers alongside the J1772 units. Station etiquette, briefly

A campground with two chargers and two hundred sites is an exercise in sharing. Move your car when the charge finishes, do not treat the charging spot as overnight parking unless the office says so, and ask before unplugging anyone. We wrote a full etiquette guide if you want the long version. The short version: parks watch how these stations get used, and the ones that stay pleasant keep expanding.
