EV Charging Infrastructure in Georgia
Georgia has been expanding its EV infrastructure, with good coverage along I-75, I-85, I-20, and I-95. Atlanta has extensive charging options, and major cities like Savannah, Augusta, and Columbus offer solid networks. Coastal areas and mountain resort towns generally have charging access. Tesla Superchargers and other networks cover major routes. However, remote mountain areas and rural regions may have limited options requiring planning.
Planning Your EV RV Trip
Georgia's varied terrain means different seasonal strategies. Mountain areas offer cool summer retreats but can be cold in winter. Coastal camping is pleasant year-round but hot in summer. Spring (March-May) and fall (October-November) provide ideal statewide weather. Summer humidity increases AC usage, affecting range. Popular state parks book quickly for fall foliage season in the mountains. Always confirm EV charging at campgrounds, especially in remote areas.
