RV Camping in North Carolina

North Carolina features 41 state parks plus Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway camping, and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Popular destinations include Hanging Rock State Park, Grandfather Mountain, Jordan Lake, and Outer Banks campgrounds. The state offers mountain, piedmont, and coastal camping. Most parks provide modern facilities. The diversity means year-round camping opportunities in different regions.

EV Charging Infrastructure in North Carolina

EV charging in North Carolina is good along I-40, I-85, and I-95. Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, and Asheville have strong charging networks. Outer Banks and mountain resort towns offer tourist charging. However, remote mountain areas may have limited options. The varied terrain impacts range - mountain elevations require planning. Tesla Superchargers and other networks provide solid coverage along major routes.

Planning Your EV RV Trip

North Carolina's diversity enables year-round camping - mountains in summer, coast in spring/fall, piedmont anytime. Summer mountain camping offers cool retreats. Coastal camping is excellent in spring (April-May) and fall (September-October) avoiding summer heat and crowds. Fall foliage along Blue Ridge Parkway (October) is spectacular but books far ahead.
