EV Charging Policy
There are currently no EV charging capabilities at our facilities. RV electrical pedestals are designed for non-continuous loads, not the constant electricity flow required to charge EV batteries.
Sycamore Lake Campground is the quieter cousin of Beech Lake on the same Beech River watershed system outside Lexington, Tennessee, with about forty sites tucked along the Sycamore Reservoir shoreline. The charging policy uses the standard Vista Recreation line about RV pedestals being designed for non-continuous loads, not the steady draw an EV needs. The nearest DC fast charging is in Lexington, about 6 miles away, with EV Connect stations. Wildersville is another option at roughly 14 miles, with Tesla Supercharger. The TN-22 corridor connects both towns, but it is rural enough that you should not improvise; charge in Lexington when you head into town for groceries.
