Does Barton Springs Campground Allow EV Charging?
Here's what you need to know about EV charging at this RV park in Normandy, Tennessee.
EV Charging Policy
There are currently no EV charging capabilities at our facilities. RV electrical pedestals are designed for non-continuous loads, not the constant electricity flow required to charge EV batteries.
Barton Springs Campground sits on the upper Duck River where it widens into Normandy Reservoir, halfway between Normandy and Manchester, Tennessee. Like every other Go Camp Tennessee site, it bans EV charging with the same technical-sounding explanation: "RV electrical pedestals are designed for non-continuous loads, not the constant electricity flow required to charge EV batteries." That is a real engineering point, not just legalese. The nearest DC fast charging is in Tullahoma, about 5 miles away, with EV Connect and ChargePoint stations. Manchester is another option at roughly 10 miles, with Electrify America and Tesla Supercharger. The Jack Daniel's country between the two towns is quiet and pleasant, but plan to charge in town before you turn off the highway.
