EV Charging Policy
There are currently no EV charging capabilities at our facilities. RV electrical pedestals are designed for non-continuous loads, not the constant electricity flow required to charge EV batteries.
Pickwick Dam Campground occupies the wooded slope below the dam on the Tennessee River outside Savannah, Tennessee, a few miles upstream of the Alabama and Mississippi state lines. The no-charging policy uses the same boilerplate as every TVA-easement campground: "There are currently no EV charging capabilities at our facilities." The nearest DC fast charging is in Corinth, about 18 miles away, with ChargePoint and Tesla Supercharger stations. Henderson is another option at roughly 34 miles, with ChargePoint. Both are real drives, and this is the kind of corner of west Tennessee where range planning starts to matter, so arrive with a buffer.
