Trends & Insights
- →86% of parks allow charging in some form. But the 14% that don't are serious about enforcement with fines up to $275
- →Most parks still don't have published EV policies, but that's changing fast. Watched parks go from "nobody's asked" to written website policies
- →Pacific Northwest most EV-friendly region. Louisiana and Texas most restrictive
- →Creative fee structures emerging: $15 per 4 hours at Starlight Campground, tiered pricing of $35/$60 at Pine Ridge
- →Seasonal policies appearing: desert parks allowing winter charging but banning it in summer when AC demand peaks
- →Casino-affiliated parks uniformly have charging infrastructure. Staff who own EVs make parks more accommodating
